Hello Youth and your families,
We are looking forward to leading the contests this year as Dakota and Sabine enjoy their sweet baby girl. We are so very grateful for all the time and effort the Whitmers have put into this contest! They really do love the youth and that is apparent from all the time they put into them. My children have grown tremendously from the contests and I'm sure many others would agree!
There are some changes to the schedule at the 2023 convention. Please take note of those changes as well as the change of addresses. You can find the contest rules and entry form at the bottom of this page. We are happy to answer any questions.

Here is some helpful general information about the contests:
-In February at the State Convention youth are welcome to compete in the contests and can also qualify for Team Indiana if they would like. All youth are welcome, the only requirement is membership with the ISRBA club.
-In October at the ARBA convention youth can compete again. There are two categories of contests: Individual and Team. Any youth can compete individually if they are an ARBA member. For the Team contests, each State can submit their teams and those compete in Breed ID and Judging (12-18yrs) or Quizbowl (5-11yrs).
-Team Indiana is determined at the ISRBA convention in February. This is based on scores. It is not guaranteed that a youth will definitely be on a team, but for many years every youth who has wanted to be on a Team and competed at ISRBA convention has been at least a Breed ID team alternate. States can send multiple Breed ID teams, but only one Judging/Quizbowl team per age division.
-On May 26th-27th the Indiana youth is invited to run an all breed rabbit show in Lebanon, IN hosted by the Central Indiana Rabbit Club. Details will come about the show itself. Any youth who comes to help (either Friday or Saturday) is eligible to earn a travel stipend for the ARBA convention. The stipend amount is determined by the profitability of the show; the past stipends have ranged from $200-$300 per youth. Youth must study to earn their stipend at minimum wage. For example, if $300 is available the youth must log approx 40 hrs of study time. They have until 10/1 to do this. Checks are sent to the youth the week before the convention.
